Frida Giulia Franceschini (Bologna, 1987) is a dancer, choreographer, and intimacy coordinator based in Berlin.
With a background in visual arts, acrobatics, and contemporary dance, Frida trained in dance and choreography at institutions across Europe, including the Rotterdam Dance Academy (Netherlands), S.E.A.D. Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance (Austria), and in Brussels.
Since 2012, she has worked as a freelance performer, collaborating with a diverse range of artists and choreographers such as Rita Vilhena, Alias Cie, Dani Brown, Aitana Cordero Vico, Giorgia Ohanesian Nardin, Costanza Candeloro, Ola Maciejewska, Isabel Margarita Lewis, Johanna Bruckner, Gerard X Reyes, Lea Kieffer, Heinrich Horwitz, and Florentina Holzinger.
Between 2015 and today, Frida has created three stage performances: BABY, a performance duo with dancer Viktoria Andersson; BE WATER MY FRIENDS, an interactive solo with live music in collaboration with CM Gratitude and Sophie Vitelli; and Tricks for Gold (T4$), her first dance work as a solo director. In 2022, she expanded Tricks for Gold into a short film, co-created and co-directed with Sophie Vitelli.
Currently, Frida is developing *The Night*, a performance exploring storytelling, the nocturnal realm, and the surreal spectacle of Italian Berlusconi-era television. In parallel, she is training with SafeSets (UK/SA) to become a certified intimacy coordinator, with plans to complete her certification by January 2025.
